NAC Wedding | Danielle and Eric

When Danielle walked into the studio with her laid back genuine, down-to-earth attitude, I knew I was going to just love working with her. I met Eric another time leading up to the wedding and found them to be two lovely souls, not just in sync with each other but complementary to each other all at the same time. Their wedding was a breeze to photograph, emotional, with heart wrenching tugs, but a joy and a breeze.

Danielle and Eric’s story begins in the fall of 2008 in Eric’s hometown of Sudbury, Ontario. Danielle was a student at Laurentian University and Eric was in the Canadian Air Force. A very good friend, Melissa introduced the two, sparks flew and they started dating. Eric was posted to Cold Lake, Alberta in 2009 and the two chose to break up due to the distance they would have between them.

They reunited in 2010,and discovered their bond was just as strong so Danielle took a chance and moved out to Cold Lake with Eric. A couple of years later they moved to Calgary where Eric began his new career as a Firefighter. They bought their first house together and became the proud owners of two puppies, Tank and Loki (look below!).

They began a journey back to Ontario after deciding to be closer to friends and family. On November 20th, 2017, while planning their move, Eric got down on one knee and asked Danielle to marry him! Their big move in March 2018 happened with another career change, Eric became a Police Officer with the OPP and Danielle was able to secure a position at National Bank.

Ottawa Wedding Photographer | 10 of the Best in the Industry | Best Wedding Photographers in Ottawa

To my surprise back on June 28th of 2018 I had been included in an article titled “Ottawa Wedding Photographer - 10 of the Best in the Industry” written by Culture Weddings & PR Firm as part of their Canadian Wedding Blog.

I had No idea! Thankfully my intern, Theresa, found the post and let me know so I could thank them (and then shamelessly let everyone else know), what an honour! Here is what they wrote:

There are so many talented wedding photographers in Ottawa that it can be hard to pick one. We went on a hunt and picked out 10 of the best wedding photographers in Ottawa that we thought had absolutely stunning wedding portfolios.

Featured in the article are some images from a wedding in 2016 at Chateau Laurier with Megan and Marc. They are a classic case of opposites attract and two of the most genuine and kind people I have ever met. Marc LOVES hockey, spending time with friends and (in his own words) being lazy. Meghan on the other hand enjoys art, gardening, cooking and taking on new challenges. They do however have a joint enthusiasm and love of pizza. Check out the blog post I wrote about Megan and Marc here and the two were also featured in Ottawa Wedding Magazine’s Spring/Summer 2019 edition which you can view here.
