Pam + Dennis | Stanley's Olde Maple Lane Farm

It was important to us to include Anishinaabe ceremonial aspects to our wedding, Dennis is Cree and Anishinaabe, and ceremony is a huge part of our lives. Dennis' father performed the ceremony for us.  Preparing for the wedding we reviewed relationship teachings to understand our roles and responsibilities to each others, our families and our community in our marriage. The pipe ceremony was/ is a recognition of that commitment and prayers for our marriage. Some of the teachings provided at the wedding were focused around the role and responsibility of our family and friends to support us in our marriage. The traditional marriage ceremony is 4 days long, and was fulfilled after the legal wedding.

To us the wedding day was perfect, it was more than we could have imagined - it was truly the happiest day of our lives (so far).

Pam and Dennis were married at Stanleys and celebrated their reception there too.
